The shield should make him feel better- it seems to make everyone else feel better, including Billy, and he's grateful for that- but force-fields are something of a specialty of the Fantastic Four, which means they're probably not the biggest threat ever posed to a Super Skrull.
Which means if it finds him there, it won't just be Teddy, it won't even just be Billy, who suffers.
